The fourth San Francisco DevRelCon event is taking place on June 6th and 7th 2019. We’ll be back at the fabulous Dogpatch Studios for two days of developer relations, developer marketing, developer community, and developer experience.
This year we’re combining conference sessions, unconference sessions, birds-of-a-feather sessions, and plenty of networking.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of DevRelCon is the opportunity to meet with other practitioners. This year, we’re building more dedicated time for open discussion than ever before.
On day one, we’re holding a series of themed birds of a feather discussions. In these BoFs, you’ll be able to share and learn with others who share your interest in that topic. We’re planning BoF sessions on live coding, burnout and wellness, storytelling, and impostor syndrome.
On day two, we’ll have unconference sessions where the people present will decide on the topic and the format of the session.
Over the course of both days of DevRelCon, we have an amazing line-up of speakers. You’ll hear from a broad range of speakers, from the well known to people just starting out on their dev rel journey.
Our keynote speakers include Google’s Kelsey Hightower, Heavybit GM Dana Oshiro, Microsoft’s head of dev Azure and AI dev rel Jeff Sandquist, OutSystems’ Jen Sable Lopez, Karat’s Lusen Mendel, and myself.
For the rest of the conference programme, we’ll have themed tracks covering topics such as developer relations fundamentals, managing healthy communities, growth hacking for dev rel, developer marketing, onboarding, leadership, and more. Whether you’re looking to get your start in dev rel or you’re a veteran who wants to skill-up, there’s something for you at DevRelCon.
On both evenings of the event there’ll be opportunities to eat, drink, and chat with other attendees. On day one, we’ll have a reception at Dogpatch Studios and after day two we’ll have an after-party that has been sponsored by Netlify.
Speaking of sponsors: thanks must go to our amazing sponsors for providing funds that enable us to keep ticket prices low while also putting every cent (and more!) back into the quality of the event. Thank you to GitHub, MongoDB, Vanilla Forums, Nexmo, Google, Worldpay, Glitch, IBM, Typeform, Facebook Open Source, Contentful, Weaveworks, O’Reilly, and Hoopy … so far.
Each of us involved in organising DevRelCon is excited to welcome you to this the thirteenth edition of the global DevRelCon series and our fourth in San Francisco.
