DevRelCon day themes

DevRelCon 2021 begins tomorrow, online, for three days of developer relations learning and sharing.

This year each day has its own overarching theme, with talks, panels, and workshops dedicated to:

  • Day 1: kickstarting your DevRel career
  • Day 2: managing relationships and reporting metrics
  • Day 3: honing the craft of developer relations.

On day one, join us for workshops and AMA sessions where you can learn the fundamentals that you need to begin and advance in your developer relations career.

We’ll have separate keynotes from Snyk’s Simon Maple, GitLab’s John Coghlan and Ionic’s Kim Maida on the DevRel career path and another from Twilio’s Joe Nash on the pitfalls of getting a job in DevRel.

Day two we’ll start with metrics and managing up, with talks on how to keep VCs and managers happy. Then we’ll look at managing relationships with other teams, as well as what it takes to run a DevRel team.

GitHub’s Martin Woodward, Google’s Mano Marks, Slack’s Bear Douglas, and Hashicorp’s Adam FitzGerald will give the keynotes. Look out for Caroline Lewko’s preview of this year’s DevRel survey results and Jonathan Ashong-Lamptey’s fireside chat on diversity and inclusion.

We’ll be closing out the conference on day three with hard won advice on how to get better at the practice of developer relations. Talks on regional DevRel, speaking, content creation, community management, events, developer marketing, documentation, and demos will feature.

Register now to get access to the live event and the DeveloperRelations.com community Discord.
