Creating successful and sustainable ambassador programs


Ambassador programs exist to empower community members with tools and resources needed to promote a technology, educate the community, and encourage contributions.

But convincing people to advocate on your technology’s behalf can be easier said than done, especially with so many competing programs out there nowadays. So how are some of the most popular communities achieving success?

In this talk, Kaitlyn shares best practices for building ambassador programs that have been learned through building the Cloud Native Ambassador and Kong Champions programs. Many of the examples in this talk are centred around open source communities, but are relevant to anyone tasked with building an ambassador program around their technology.
